Seeds of Faith: March 1-2, 2008
In the midst of Lenten season, the National Lutheran Choir and guest conductor, Michael Culloton, present a program featuring Ralph Vaughan Williams' stunning Mass in G Minor for a cappella double choir and soloists. The Mass hearkens back to the Renaissance when Byrd and Victoria were penning their mass settings, but it also bears the unmistakable flavor of one of the great composers of the 20th century.
The choir will also perform René Clausen's moving O Vos Omnes, along with music by Pachelbel, Distler, and Minnesota composers Carol Barnett and Paul Brandvik.
