This concert is dedicated to the memory of beloved choral conductor and composer, Leland B. Sateren, who passed away last November. In his honor we will perform a section of his music.
Our program features an eclectic mix of music with common biblical texts in which we experience the seasons of life.
Hear a movement of F. Melius Christiansen's Celestial Spring: A Song Cycle, with text by Oscar Overby. Also on the program is a world premiere, From Light to Light, by J. Aaron McDermid, with text by Susan Palo Cherwiwen. Concluding the evening is Leonard Bernstein's affirmative, and at times serence, Chichester Psalms.
