A highlight of the out-of-sight opening was "Angel Song II," a wordless sonic piece - a kind of ethereal mist - for vocalists by the prolific young British composer Will Todd. Another highlight was a demonstration of the choir's outstanding male vocalists with the setting of the familiar "Ave Maria" by Franz Biebl, a favorite of male choirs.
From Dr. Ted Faszer, President of the Sioux Falls Concert Association, regarding our performance at the Washington Pavilion on November 6, 2004.
“We were captivated, thrilled, transported, nurtured, moved and blessed!”
“[The concert] was superb. We were moved to joy and tears.”
“Not only a concert — a worship service.”
“This is the second time we’ve had NLC, and we’d love to have them again. The director and artists demonstrated the finest musicianship. The dynamic range of NLC had the audience holding its breath during pianissimos…. BRAVO!”
