What is the Summer Institute?

The National Lutheran Choir’s first ever Conducting, Leadership and Vocational Institute will provide you with opportunities to learn from leaders in the field, refine your skills, and explore career opportunities in the field of choral music.

Attendees will receive applied choral conducting instruction and will learn practical rehearsal techniques for a variety of settings. Additionally, participants will engage in a variety networking opportunities and career pathway exploration conversations.

Who is the Institute for?

The Summer Institute will have opportunities for high school students who are interested in exploring what a career in choral music entails, undergraduate or graduate students who want to refine their conducting practice, and career musicians who are looking to advance their skills and earn continuing education credits.

  • High School Track (Grades 11 & 12) - Explore your calling in music
